Dana Miller began her career after college at a university PBS television station in Ohio. She used her degree in graphic arts first as a graphic designer and eventually became Art Director. At thirty she put aside her career in pursuit of a new adventure…

motherhood. Within four years she had given birth to her two greatest creations, Deanna and Dustin. Ten years later, with her children in school, she was ready for a new direction. She started a theme party and special event business, called “Art n Soul Productions” in Austin, Texas. When the party whirl became too frenzied she turned to freelance work, decorative painting, 3-D work and mural painting in private homes and restaurants. Today she lives on a little farm in Salado far from the Austin traffic. She is surrounded by ducks, peacocks, chickens, doves, turkeys, cows, pigs, cats and dogs. Gourds grown on the farm find their way into her studio and end up as three dimensional canvases. Country living has provided a close-up look at the wonderful cycle of life and is an endless inspiration for her paintings and mixed-media creations.
